~Church Mission Statement~
OUR VISION for Christian Family Fellowship (CFF) is to be a fellowship that meets regularly to praise our God, Creator, and Provider. We desire to work together to instruct our families in God’s Word, the Bible, and to be a fellowship that is concerned about each other’s burdens and the burdens of the community and those around us. As a group, we acknowledge who God is and strive to accomplish these goals.
*Know God’s Word, so that we can stand strong against the evil one. (Daniel 11:32)
*Strengthen families in their walk with God
*Teach our children about our God (Deuteronomy 4:5-9 & 6:4-9)
*Live our the Great Commission by preaching the Gospel of Salvation through Jesus Christ to the entire world. (Matthew 28:19-20)
WE BELIEVE
*In the power of God, the Creator, Who is Father, Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:4-6, I Corinthians 8:6, 1 John 5:7, Matthew 28:19)
*In the authority of Scriptures (the written Word of God) and it’s use for Doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21)
*That each person when presented with the Gospel must then choose who they will follow (Matthew 19:16-27, Joshua 24:15, John 3:15-17)
*That Jesus Christ, being the Son of God, born of a virgin, is the fullest revelation for Christians of how we should live (1 John 3:8, 1 John 4:1-3, Matt. 1:21-23. Luke 1:26-35)
*In Christ’s death and resurrection *That Christ will come again to judge and reward
We hope to provide an environment that will encourage the strengthening of the family and individuals. We would like to see men become leaders, leading and sharing from God’s Word and about their relationship with Christ and encouraging the young men to grow in their faith and become leaders. We would like to see older women teaching younger women to have biblical virtues, (Titus 2) and how to be a Christian mother and wife.We want to encourage spiritual maturity in individuals and families so that we are prepared to go into the world and preach the Gospel of Salvation through Jesus Christ to those around us.
TEN CHURCH GOALS
1)To guide every individual to put his full faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, to seek to know and love Him with all his heart, soul, mind, and strength. (Romans 10:9, Philippians 3:10, and Matthew 22:37-40)
2)To build God’s Word and Christ’s character in individuals, marriages, and families so that we will be above reproach and an “advertisement” for the Christian faith. (Colossians 1:28-29, Matthew 5:16)
3)To teach every man how to delight in and meet the needs of his wife with the same kind of love that Christ gave to the Church when He sacrificed Himself for her. (Ephesians 5:25-29, 1 Peter 3:7)
4)To teach every wife how to love her husband and children, how to be discreet and chaste, how to manage her home, and how to adapt to her own husband so that the Christian faith cannot be spoken against by those who know her. (Titus 2:4-5, 1 Peter 3:1-6)
5)To turn the heart of every father toward his sons and daughters in order to teach them to hear God’s voice on how to be successful persons, partners, parents, providers, and proclaimers of God’s truth. (Malachi 4:6, Deuteronomy 6:7)
6)To demonstrate our love to the Lord and our loyalty to His Body by giving a good report of one another, and to follow Matthew 18 in the spirit of restoring rather than merely exposing. (Galatians 6:1. Ephesians 4:29, Matthew 7:3-5)
7)To explain and apply God’s principles of finance in the church and in each family, so God can provide specific direction and illustrate His supernatural power. (Malachi 3:10, Luke 16:11-12, Romans 13:8)
8)To motivate women to a life of Godliness and faithfulness by providing meaningful ministries and financial assistance for them when they are older and have no husband or other relatives to help. (Timothy 5:3-16)
9)To help each Christian discover his spiritual gift and exercise it in expressing God’s love to the members of the Body of Christ. (1 Corinthians 12-13, Romans 12:3-16, and Ephesians 4:1-16)
10)To lead each family in how to genuinely worship the Lord Jesus Christ and how to edify one another, making the church strong. (Ephesians 5:19-20 and Colossians 3:15-16)
WE DESIRE TO BUILD GODLY GENERATIONS,
NOT A TEMPORARY CONGREGATION
*Our priority is to build families, not the meetings of a church
*We will develop programs built around family needs instead of families being built around church needs.
*We will look for evidence of spiritually mature men, joyful wives, and children who are mighty in spirit.
*Success will be men who are servant leaders who love their wives as Christ loved the church. They will encourage and build up their wives and together they will bring up their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Using Biblical wisdom, understanding, and knowledge, they will learn to be fathers and disciple makers as they engage with their children.
* Success will be wives who love and respect because they feel secure in Christ’s love and therefore know how to offer God’s love to their husbands; wives who know how to pursue appeals that will motivate their husbands to make wise decisions and succeed as noble men in Christ Jesus, being content and lifting up their own households with their lips and hands.
* * *Success will be children who obey their parents because they can hear God’s voice and willingly respond to God. They have a personal relationship with Christ and depend on His righteousness by faith. If parents reveal the image of God the Father accurately, revealing both His mercy and His truth, then children will search for their security from God in Christ Jesus and the home environment.
